If you’re 18 years of age or older, and would like to receive a membership application package to join the San Jose RACES team, please use the form below to submit your request. You’ll receive, via email, a PDF document containing the following:
- Membership Packet Instruction Sheet
- Disaster Service Worker Volunteer (DSW) registration
- SJ RACES Membership Application
- RACES Property Issuance & Return Form
- Communications Resource Update Form
- Code of Ethics Form
- Quick Start Manual for New RACES Members
Your request will be satisfied within one or two days (but hopefully, much sooner).
Be aware that a requirement for becoming a San Jose RACES member is registering to become a California Disaster Service Worker volunteer. While anyone can become a DSW volunteer, the process requires one to subscribe to a loyalty oath.
Non United States citizens should research whether taking the oath will have any impact on their own country’s allegiance.
